About Willeston Conference Centre Wellington

Welcome to the Willeston Conference Centre, situated in the heart of the city, close to the shops, transport, hotels, restaurants and other wonderful services the city has to offer. The Willeston Conference Centre is a dedicated Convention Centre offering a range of Event Venues, Venues for Hire Wellington, room sizes to suit your needs, from large to small we endeavour to cater for all needs.
All rooms are open plan and free from pillars blocking your view, have great air conditioning, are bright with plenty of natural light, and have views of the city and over the harbour.

Equipment

We have a full range of equipment at the centre, with whiteboards, overhead projectors, screens, smart TV’s, video conferencing units, PA systems and flipcharts. We also have a good arrangement with local suppliers for any other equipment we do not have, available on a daily rental basis, or if you wish feel free to bring your own and we will help with the set up in your room.

Catering

We have a great arrangement with our catering supplier, In House Catering, one of Wellingtons top catering firms, who offer a wide range of foods for your morning teas, lunches and afternoon teas. For those wishing to use our facilities later in the day they also offer a range of cocktail foods for you and your clients.

Conference Pack

A conference pack can be sent directly to you which will outline both equipment and catering with prices, room sizes and charges. Please feel free to ask one of our staff members to send you one.

Staff

Our manager, Farooq Mirajkar, has a great background in hospitality. After working at some top hotels and completing his Degree in Hospitality from India, he travelled to the UK and worked there for a few years. He moved to New Zealand in 2008 to study Post Graduate Degree in Hospitality to further enhance his career. He has gained great experience since then and managed a few great venues before joining Willeston. Our staff have a good knowledge of food types and allergies, so feel free to ask about food types and discuss your catering needs with them.

He is assisted by a pool of amazing staff,  who have been in the service industry in various forms from cafes to restaurants for many years, some of them from overseas and travelling in New Zealand.

The Willeston team strives to provide the best service possible to ensure your conference, function or meeting is not only a success but also enjoyable.
